I am a mum to 2 home birthed daughters.
After working in a primary health care clinic for 9 years with the department of Health as an admin clerk where part of my duties included baby weighing & breast feeding support, I left to pursue my passion as a doula.
In 2000 completed the Breastfeeding Association of South Africa’s lactation management course and I qualified as a doula in Dec 2004 after completing the birthing companion course with WOMBS ( Women Offering Mothers Birth Support ) and in August 2009 completed the advanced doula course with WOMBS
I am currently working towards my certification as a certified professional midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).
I am also co-organisor of the Cape Town Midwifery and Birth Conference and co-founder of Home Birth South Africa.
